Directions to THEATRE ON THE BAY
1 Link Street, Camps Bay
Travel into Cape Town on either the N1 or N2. At the end of the highway, there is a large intersection with the entrance to the V & A Waterfront on the right hand side.
Travel straight through this intersection onto LOWER BUITENGRAGT STREET (M62), which becomes BUITENGRAGT and then changes to KLOOF NEK ROAD.
Drive over the Nek, past TAFELBERG ROAD on the left (the road leading to the Cable Car Station). The road then becomes CAMPS BAY DRIVE and begins to wind downwards.
At the second road along, you will see a right-only turn into GENEVA DRIVE – turn here. Follow the road down to the sea.
At the bottom of the hill you will come to a stop sign. Turn right into CAMPS BAY DRIVE .
About 20m after turning, you will reach a set of robots at a T-Junction, with the beach in front of you. Turn left into VICTORIA ROAD (towards Hout Bay).
Take the very next road to your left (directly after Primi Piatti), into LINK STREET. THEATRE ON THE BAY is on the left – a three storey, café au lait coloured building
Parking
Please note that you run the risk of being fined if you park on any of the yellow lines in Link Street.
Parking is available on the left hand side of Link Street, but the only area available for parking on the right hand side of the street are those bays just beyond the theatre marked with white and yellow lines. However, if your vehicle is parked on or over the yellow line in these bays, you run the risk of being fined. You may also be fined if you park on the solid yellow lines on the right hand side of the road next to the park/memorial. Parking in front of the theatre at night is prohibited.
The theatre does not employ the parking attendants working in the Camps Bay area. Should you have any queries or complaints regarding them, please contact the Camps Bay Police Station.
